The Troy Public Library (TPL) will be revealing the new Troy Public Library Bookmobile on September 12, 2024 between 4:00PM and 8:00PM EDT at Stine Community Park, 241 Town Center Dr., Troy, MI 48084. Come see the Bookmobile and its over 1,000 books, and thank you to the Friends of the Troy Public Library volunteers like yourselves that made it possible, along with our Troy Public Library staff and other donors! The Troy Public Library has completed the emergency maintenance in the basement and over the last several days, our Book Shop Volunteers have been working hard to prepare the downstairs Book Shop for re-opening! Hours for Saturday, June 8, 2024: 10AM – 1PM EDT Hours for Sunday, June 9, 2024: 1PM – 4PM EDT Thank you for the hard work and all your patience as we worked through the emergency maintenance of our aging Troy Public Library facility! We look forward to seeing you back in the Book Shop, and a reminder, our Friends Shop (upstairs) is open as well!

We hope you had a Happy Easter and are enjoying the early Spring weather. 🌸🌼 As you know, our Lower-Level Book Shop has faced some significant challenges due to persistent leaks in the HVAC system. But fear not! Repairs have been underway for a couple of weeks, and workers have been making great progress to ensure that things are back in tip-top shape. We expect these repairs will be completed by the end of April. Our downstairs Friends Book Shop is closed through May 2024 (we will update with an actual date once we hear back) for major facilities work in the basement of our Troy Public Library. The Friends Shop (upstairs) is still open when staffed and has a great selection of materials from our downstairs shop in the interim. No donations are possible for the time being as our sorting and storage facilities are impacted by the facilities maintenance. We will update as soon as we hear more, and we really appreciate your support while our Library makes facilities improvements for an even better Book Shop this summer!
