Volunteer

The Friends of the Troy Public Library is an all-volunteer organization. In that endeavor, we each seek to promote and support the Troy Public Library and our community.  We can never have too many Friends!  Consider joining us in one of the following capacities:

Help in our Book Shop: Every day the library is open, dedicated workers are sorting books, stocking shelves, and getting things ready for the weekend sale.  Shifts are at individual discretion, and volunteers come in every day. Our cashiers work on Saturdays and Sundays in three hour shifts, and we have other Friends who come in on Saturday afternoon to help tidy up and restock for the next day.

Cashier in our Friends Shop: The gift shop in the lobby is open every day the library is open.  Cashiers work in three hour shifts, and they provide the friendly face to patrons!

Special projects:  From larger annual sales to working a table at Troy Daze, we often have need for more helping hands. If your time is limited but you still want to help, let us know!  We’ll keep you in mind when things arise!

If you are already a Friends of the Troy Public Library volunteer, please use the resources on this page to stay in touch!
