The mission of the Friends of the Troy Public Library is to promote and support the Troy Public Library through membership, donations, and advocacy.
Membership in the Friends of the Troy Public Library is open to all persons who express an interest in the Troy Public Library and support its role in the community. General Membership is attained through dues paid.
The Friends all-volunteer nine (9) member Board of Directors provide oversight and direction to the organization. If you wish to volunteer for non-Board positions, consider joining us as a member of a committee. If you are interested in being a part of the Friends organization, contact us.
The Board of Directors meetings are held once a month in the large meeting room at the Troy Public Library. General Annual Meetings are held in September and members are welcome to participate by attending the meeting. The Friends are members of the ALA/United for Libraries, Friends of Michigan Libraries, Leadership Troy and the Troy Chamber Non-Profit Network.
