Last week we held our annual membership meeting, and we’re thrilled to share that the Friends were selected as Nonprofit of the Week — an honor we proudly accepted! This recognition means so much to us, and it’s only possible because of our amazing volunteers who keep our mission moving every single day.
📚 Volunteer Update
Thanks to the incredible response from our community, we now have enough book sorters to handle the generous donations coming in. Because of that, we’re placing all new book‑sorting applications on hold for the moment.
However, we are still looking for a few more cashiers for both our upstairs and downstairs shops:
🛍️ Upstairs Shop (Lobby)
• Shifts are typically 2 hours
• We especially need help on all weekdays during evening hours
📘 Downstairs Bookshop (Lower Level)
• shifts are 3 hours (cashiers arrive about 15 min early)
• Saturday 10–1 and/or Sunday 1–4
