Come visit us in the Friends Book Shop (downstairs) - great selection!

We hope everyone has dried out from the deluge brought on by Hurricane Beryl. 🌧️☔️   Don’t worry, Friends of the Troy Public Library are here to brighten your weekend with some fabulous promotions at our Book Shop! 🌞📚

🎸 For the upbeat, our Center Table is Rockin’ & Rollin’ with Coffee Table books about pop music icons Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, and The Beatles!  Imagine yourself flipping through their glossy pages while singing “Love Me Tender,” “Strangers in the Night,” or “Hey Jude.”  Get ready to be “All Shook Up,” as you are carried away by the “Summer Wind” on your very own “Magical Mystery Tour!” 🎤🎶

📸 On the ‘Flip Side’ of the Center Table, explore Photography books by legendary lensmen from the New York Times, Life Magazine, and Ansel Adams.  Capture the moment and see the world through their famed shutters! 📷✨

📚 Are you a comic book aficionado or a fantasy fanatic?  We’ve got bags of treasures waiting for you: $3 for comics and $2.50 for spine-tingling horror and fantasy mags.  While you’re at it, snag Travel Guides for a mere 50¢ each!  Who knows, you might even find one for Tupelo, Hoboken, or Liverpool! 😉✈️

🎵 Attention, audiophiles! 👉 Our vinyl cart is spinning with newly-added vintage LPs.  Whether you’ve got a turntable or just want to frame those cool album covers, this is your jam.  Plus, tune

into books about the recording industry and record collecting.  🎶

📖 Make our Book Shop your One-Stop for gently-used fiction, non-fiction, magazines, CDs, DVDs, games, and jigsaw puzzles—most priced at $1 or less! 📚💡 Every purchase supports special programming and vital Library initiatives. 🌟📚

📍 Visit us on the lower level of the Troy Public Library this Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM and Sunday from 1 PM to 4 PM. 📅

📦 Got three boxes or more to spare?  We’re once again accepting large donations by appointment only on Saturdays between 10 AM and Noon.  Reserve your time slot on the Library calendar website – 📦🙌 Donations of two or fewer boxes may be made in our collection area in the main lobby of the Library.

Thank you to Mary Lynn and Verena for the photos this week!
