The Library has reopened and the Friends have been given the “green light” to resume business. On Saturday, August 14, 2021 the Friends Book Shop located on the lower level of the Troy Public Library will re-open. Our hours are: Saturdays from 10am-1pm and Sunday from 1pm -4pm.
The Friends Shop (locate in the library lobby) is dependent on the availability of volunteers to serve as cashiers and will be open intermittently during normal library hours when volunteers are available.
We are also happy to report that we will once again be accepting donations beginning in August 2 with the following new procedures.
Large donations (3 boxes or more) will be accepted by appointment only. Appointments may be scheduled through the Troy Public Library calendar.
Smaller donations (2 boxes or less) may be dropped in the lobby donation box during regular library hours with the following guidelines:
1. Materials donations must be securely bagged or boxed before being placed in the donation bin.
2. Donations should be in good condition and mold, smoke, and bug free.
3. Keep in mind that we do not accept encyclopedias, audio/VHS cassettes, or time sensitive materials older than 1 year.
Please see the Donate to the Friends page for more information.
