The Troy Public Library has completed the emergency maintenance in the basement and over the last several days, our Book Shop Volunteers have been working hard to prepare the downstairs Book Shop for re-opening! Hours for Saturday, June 8, 2024: 10AM – 1PM EDT Hours for Sunday, June 9, 2024: 1PM – 4PM EDT Thank you for the hard work and all your patience as we worked through the emergency maintenance of our aging Troy Public Library facility! We hope you had a Happy Easter and are enjoying the early Spring weather. 🌸🌼 As you know, our Lower-Level Book Shop has faced some significant challenges due to persistent leaks in the HVAC system. But fear not! Repairs have been underway for a couple of weeks, and workers have been making great progress to ensure that things are back in tip-top shape. We expect these repairs will be completed by the end of April. Friends Book Shop (downstairs) closed until May 2024, Friends Shop (upstairs) still open!
Our downstairs Friends Book Shop is closed through May 2024 (we will update with an actual date once we hear back) for major facilities work in the basement of our Troy Public Library. The Friends Shop (upstairs) is still open when staffed and has a great selection of materials from our downstairs shop in the interim. No donations are possible for the time being as our sorting and storage facilities are impacted by the facilities maintenance. We will update as soon as we hear more, and we really appreciate your support while our Library makes facilities improvements for an even better Book Shop this summer!

March Madness!
March has been so busy we need two posts! The Book Shop and Friends shop are celebrating March is Reading month with a 50% off all kids books and DVD’s all month long. Friends shop Hours are during regular library hours when volunteers are available. Book shop hours are Saturdays from 10am to 1 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm. Stop in and Stock up on your favorite books! The Friends recently participated in a Philanthropitch hosted by the Troy Chamber of Commerce’s Non-Profit Network. Although, Grace Centers of Hope ultimately won the contest, the exposure gleaned by the effort will bring in donations and hopefully some volunteer support. April Church, President Friends of the Troy Public Library March is Reading Month! The renovation of the Friends Shop is complete just in time for March is Reading Month! Book Shop and Friends Shop are offering a 50% off all kids and tweens books and DVD’s for the ENTIRE MONTH of MARCH! Stop by to see our fabulous offerings. The sale will run from March 1 until March 31. The book shop is open Saturdays from 10am – 1 pm and Sundays from 1pm – 4 pm. The Friends are hosting a Book Lovers, 50% off sale, on Saturday, February 12 and Sunday February 13. The event will be in both the Friends Shop and the Book shop. Stop by this weekend and find a gift for yourself or for your one true love. Speaking of the Friends Shop….. We are pleased to announce that the Friends Shop has undergone a transformation. While we continue to have merchandise available, the focus of the shop has shifted to books. We have a large selection of new and popular adult fiction, teen fiction, kids and tween fiction and other literary features. Friends Book Shop Closed November 27 and 28th
The Friends Book Shop will be closed on November 27 and 28th to allow our wonderful volunteers to spend time this Thanksgiving with their families. Our normal shopping hours will resume on December 4. We are very grateful for our donors, volunteers, friends, and customers and we wish we a very happy Thanksgiving.
