As Armed Forces Week comes to a close, culminating in Armed Forces Day on Saturday, May 17th, we take this time to honor and recognize the dedication and sacrifices of service members across all branches of the military, both past and present.

This weekend our Center Table features a curated collection of books chronicling past wars, from World War I to 9/11, in tribute to the Americans who have given their lives for their country ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Looking ahead to Memorial Day next week, we invite you to explore the pages of history, art, poetry and defining battles of the American Civil War โš”๏ธ

Memorial Day has deep rootsโ€”it was first observed on May 30, 1868, as Decoration Day, honoring Union soldiers lost in the Civil War. Over time, it became officially recognized across the states, evolving into the day of remembrance we now know as Memorial Day โ€” a solemn tribute to all U.S. military members who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Beyond our Center Table Display we carry a wide range of Fiction and non-fiction books, as well as CDs, DVDs, Puzzles and Games.
If youโ€™d like to dive deeper into history this week, check out our US History and World History sections too!
