Next Wednesday January 29th ushers in the year of the Snake ๐ and we have some amazing books to celebrate Lunar New Year! ใ๏ธ Our Center Table will be featuring several titles related to the Peopleโs Republic of China ๐จ๐ณ and its multifaceted culture. Discover the rich tapestry of Chinese literature, history, geography, archaeology and art through our selection. Whether youโre aiming to master Chinese cuisine ๐ or embark on the journey of learning the Chinese language ๐ด, we have the right titles for you!
And if you feel our Center Table display isnโt enough, be sure to check out our “World Culture” and “Foreign Language” sections, too.
Of course, we also have a wide inventory of more gently-used fiction and non-fiction books of all genres and for all ages, along with magazines, CDs, DVDs, games and jigsaw puzzles. Most items are priced at $1 or less, so you can find great deals and support a good cause at the same time. ๐๐๐ฟ๐โ๐ฒ๐งฉ
Proceeds from Book Shop sales are granted back to the Troy Public Library in support of special programming and other important initiatives. The Friends of the Troy Public Library is an all-volunteer nonprofit made up of members who love books and the Library, and we are always happy to see YOU. ๐ซต
The Book Shop is located on the lower level of the Troy Public Library, and we are open on Saturday from 10AM-1PM and on Sunday from 1PM to 4PM. ๐ฐ
And last but not least, all children aged 5-12 are invited to the Troy Public Library for a special Lunar New Year celebration on Wednesday, January 29th, from 6-7 PM! ๐ This event is proudly sponsored by the Friends of the Troy Library!
