November News

It has been a very busy month for the Friends. In an effort to renew our presence in our community, we have posted an article/ad in the Troy Times. The article/ad was published in the November 11, 2021 Troy Times, and should have been in your mailbox on Friday, November 12. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can find the ad on page 13 of the Troy Times.

Since our reopening, we have resumed our outreach programs connecting with previous outreach partners and welcoming new outreach friends.  Earlier this month St. Vincent De Paul picked up more than 50 boxes books.  Just this past Saturday (November 13) we were able to give 30 boxes of kids books to the Oakland Academy of Media and Technology in Pontiac.

The Troy Public Library hosted a very successful open house on Sunday, November 14.  The Friends participated in this event too! We gave out bookmarks, fliers, chocolate and free coloring/activity books to people who stopped at our table.  We were able to introduce many people to the Friends Shop and the Bookshop and invited them to shop ‘til they dropped!

We invite everyone come celebrate the holidays with us.  Visit our stores and find special unique gifts for the friends and family on your holiday list.  In this season of giving and giving thanks, please consider donating to the Friends of the Troy Public Library.  Every donation allows us to give back to our library and to our community.

Happy Holidays to all.
